Something Beautiful Decays.
Something beautiful is beginning to decay.
Today, the streets will be thronged
And amongst the endless named there will always be one:
A victim.
As if the serpent in their head controls them,
They will never reveal why-
Why would they?
They have more to gain in secrecy.
I search through the packed avenues,
Hoping to see
A tear, a sob, an anguished face...
Just to see proof that they're real...
But they remain hidden.
Something beautiful is decaying.
A pale, painted petal
Made to catch a tear,
Urine-soaked innards
We still hold dear,
A vomit-green stem
That supports a crooked being
Atop a mutinous base
We're stopped from seeing,
All chained together
To choke someone to death -
I'll tell of their evil
With my last lifeless breath.
They broke my heart
So I'll tear them apart.
